Each year our troop spends a week at summer camp in Rhode Island at the Yawgoog Scout Reservation. We stayed at Camp Sandy Beach - one of three separate camps at Yawgoog. In 2007, Twenty-Four (24) members joined over 1000 scouts from throughout the Northeast at Yawgoog.  Scouts earned nearly 80 merit badges and awards!  A number of scouts advanced in rank and one of our members was one of only 16 scouts during week #6 to earn the BSA Mile Swim award.  It was a great week at camp!

Founded in 1916 as “A Scout Adventureland Forever,” Camp Yawgoog is situated on 1800 acres of beautiful wilderness in Rockville, Rhode Island (bordering Connecticut).  Yawgoog is divided into three separate Camps: Three Point, Medicine Bow and Sandy Beach.  The atmosphere of healthy Camp competition is a unique aspect of the Yawgoog experience.  Yawgoog Scout Reservation is a part of the
Narragansett Council, Boy Scouts of America.
