Each year our troop spends a week at summer camp in Rhode Island at the Yawgoog Scout Reservation. We stayed at Camp Sandy Beach - one of three separate camps at Yawgoog. In 2007, Twenty-Four (24) members joined over 1000 scouts from throughout the Northeast at Yawgoog. Scouts earned nearly 80 merit badges and awards! A number of scouts advanced in rank and one of our members was one of only 16 scouts during week #6 to earn the BSA Mile Swim award. It was a great week at camp! Yawgoog is divided into three separate Camps: Three Point, Medicine Bow and Sandy Beach. The atmosphere of healthy Camp competition is a unique aspect of the Yawgoog experience.
