The meeting was called to order by Andy Spalla at 7:43PM, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
 
Secretary’s Report

    The minutes of the last meeting were accepted.
 
Scoutmaster’s Report

    A printed report was distributed.
    We had 18 boys and 6 leaders travel to Washington, DC. The trip was very successful.
    Dan Mullins was presented his Eagle award.
    We had 32 boys and 10 adults attend Yawgoog. Our troop earned 12 rank advancements, 73 Merit Badges, and 158 Yawgoog segments.
    Finally the Council’s JLTC was staffed by 5 of our Scouts and 4 adults from our troop. In addition we sent 4 Scouts to the course.
    Our first Troop meeting is Friday September 1st.

Adult Responsibilities
    The Adult Responsibilities roster was handed out and discussed
    We still need people for the following positions: Popcorn Sales Coordinator, Adult Quartermaster, West Point Campout Coordinator, and Seabase Camping Trip Investigator.
 
Other Business
    Since the troop elected candidates to the Order of the Arrow, the adults may elect a candidate. Andy Spalla was elected.
    It was suggested that a Committee Member Meeting be held to discuss the roles and activities of Committee members. It was questioned how this was different from the Parent’s Meeting. There are roles that the Committee members play that are different from the Parents. The Parents will be invited to attend the meeting. The first meeting will be held after the next Parent’s Meeting on October 2. The topic of discussion will be Boards of Review.
