Troop 68 Parent’s Meeting
March 6, 2000
St. Theresa School
The following people were in attendance: Andy Spalla, Mike Abrahamson, Mark Carpenter Sr., Mark Carpenter Jr., Bill Amidon, Tim Ryan, Theresa Davis, Rebecca Beaudoin, Bob Pescatore, Frank Chudy, Jill Golrick, Carole Knudsen, Lee Knudsen, Virginia Perreault, Richard Silva, Pete McCann, Paul Viggiano, Alice Card.
The meeting was called to order by Andy Spalla at 7:35PM, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Secretary’s Report
The minutes of the last meeting were accepted.
Treasurer’s Report
A statement of the accounts was distributed.
Unpaid dues letters have been mailed.
Yawgoog deposit has been paid ($350).
West Point deposit has been paid ($400).
Popcorn bill has been paid ($1622.09).
Scoutmaster’s Report
A printed report was distributed.
This has been a good month, only one meeting was cancelled due to the weather.
The big news is the Troop has been invited to the West Point Camporee.
The March campout has been moved to Roosevelt Forest in Stratford since the District Spring Camporee is going to be held at Deer Lake.
Danny Mullins has passed his Eagle Board of Review.

Training
The District is offering two adult training sessions. Assistant Scoutmasters and Troop Committee Members are encouraged to attend.
The first program is a one-day session called "Boy Scout Leader Skills Workshop". It will be held on March 18 from 8:00AM-4:30PM at Hillcrest Junior High School in Trumbull.
The second program is a three-part workshop called "Boy Scout Leader Basic Training". The first part is March 21 from 7:30PM-9:30PM at the Council Office in Milford. The second part is April 1 from 8:00AM-4:00PM at the Council Office in Milford. The third part is a weekend campout from April 14-16 at Camp Sequassen.

New Business
We are still having trouble with the Patrol Calls. Mike Abrahamson proposed implementing a dial-in voice mail where the week's announcements will be posted. The cost is about $10/month.
A motion was proposed and approved to pay for a six-month trial to test the system.
