Troop 68 Parent’s Meeting
November 1, 1999
St. Theresa School
The following people were in attendance: Joseph A Rescanski, Virginia Perreault, Theresa Davis, Carol Beaudoin, Andy Spalla, Frank Chudy, Paul Viggiano, Carol Knudsen, Lee Knudsen, Mike Abrahamson, Rich Alesevich, Mark Carpenter, Pete McCann, Bill Amidon, Rob Miller, Bob Pescatore, Jill Golrick, Brian Golrick, John Davis.
The meeting was called to order by Andy Spalla at 7:40PM, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Secretary’s Report
The November Campout should be listed at Indian Ledge.
The minutes of the last meeting were accepted with the change.
Treasurer’s Report
A statement of the Accounts was distributed.
The due’s letters were mailed out this past weekend.
Scoutmaster’s Report
A printed report was distributed.
The two new patrols are up and running.
Compliments to Pete McCann for the great job organizing the 50th Anniversary.
We are getting between 30 and 35 boys for the weekly meetings.

11/12 – Popcorn orders due
11/13 – Scouting for Food collection
11/19,20,21 – Campout at Indian Ledge. Will camp behind the playground. Theme: Younger boys – Basic fire building, Older boys – Cooking.

12/10 – Caroling at Bishop Curtis House
12/10,11,12 – Campout at Webb Mountain

Committee Reports
Yankee Candle netted the troop about $1100.
The first batch of candy has been sold out. Will be getting more as needed.
Doug DeMent will chair the popcorn delivery.
We still need a Publicity Director. This person will help get article in the local paper. Please see Andy Spalla if you are interested.
Other Business
Pictures from the 50th Anniversary were passed around.
New Business
A motion was made and passed to spend about $220 to buy 4 stove stands ($120), complete the fifth cook set (which had been scavenged), and fill in odds and ends for the other cook sets ($100).
Lee Knudsen donated a Coleman propane stove to the troop.
Mark Carpenter showed a new form to track gear checkout and return.
Meeting adjourned at 8:05PM.
