Old Business:

4. Mr. Amidon discussed the website- the Scoutmaster's reports are on the site, he has the Parents meeting minutes and they likewise will be on the site shortly. Scouts interested in helping with the rest of the site should contact the project manager, Michael Card.

New Business:

5. Deena Begin mentioned she would like to encourage more participation with the Yankee Candle Fundraiser, which is scheduled to kick-off early September. A possible tie-in to the Salesmanship merit badge was suggested, and Jim Bailey, Sr. will pursue this possibility.

6. Gear purchase- Mr Alesevich requested the authorization to purchase 2 backpacking tents since the regular troop tents are not suitable for backpacking excursions. The group felt that any backpacking activity or program run by the Troop would likely require at least 4 tents, and this purchase was unanimously approved by the attendees, on condition that they be used only for backpacking excursions, and after a recommended backpacking activity was approved by the Scoutmaster. Other minor supplies were also mentioned (seam sealer, etc.), and the direction from the Committee Chair is that minor supplies required by the Gear Master to fulfill his duties do not require pre-approval from the Parents.

Other Business: Tom Jackson and Joe Rescsanski would like the Parents' Meeting Minutes mailed to them, Tim Ryan to take care of this.

A new list of scouts was passed out by Mr. Abrahamson.

Andy Spally thanked Troop 68 on behalf of the Cub Scouts for their help last weekend.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 pm.
