1. Paul Viggiano presented the Treasurer's Report- draft of reminder letter for remainder of dues was circulated, and approved. It will be mailed early next week. Paul and Mr. Chin completed the reconciliation of the scout accounts. There has been little activity in the scout account since the last meeting.

2. The SPL reported that the PLC met yesterday, January 31, 1999; The troop will not be going to West Point in April as hoped, instead a hike through the Pequonnock Valley is planned.

3. Scoutmaster Report: First meeting of the year consisted of a presentation from the Connecticut Burn Unit which was well received; the second meeting was cancelled due to inclement weather; the 3rd week was the Klondike at Sequassen; the last meeting was a presentation on "wet weather" camping, with 2 visiting Webelo dens; Sunday was Scout Sunday at St. Theresa's.

4. Quartermaster Report- Mr. Carpenter indicated we need 2 BSA utensil sets to replace lost parts- the purchase was approved.

5. Mr. Katona indicated that we may have a sponsor for West Point in the year 2000, Brian Golrick indicated that the PLC wants to go, and it will be pursued.

6. Mr. Viggiano gave a report on the Finance Committee's recommendations regarding the candy sale- 2 vendors were being looked at- (1) Modern in Bridgeport, and (2) Fairfield County (which does not provide Fundraiser boxes). After discussion, it was decided that: we wanted to use a local distributor, each boy would need to sell at least 1 case (60 pieces), the published "split" for what gets applied to the scouts' accounts will be the same, the program should be in place before Easter.

New Business:

7. Mr. Alesevich announced that the Green Mountain ski trip was March 6-7th, and 2 more adults were needed for the trip; cost is $95.00 per kid- includes 2 days of skiing, food and lodging.

It was indicated that Yawgoog was scheduled for 8/1-8/8/99; and JLT was scheduled for 8/8-8/14/99.

Joe Rescsanski pointed out that Greg Golrick was the troop's 50th Eagle Scout, and perhaps we should try to put together a photo album of all 50 Eagles as part of the Troops 50th Anniversary.

Mr. Abrahamson reminded the group of the dance for Cynthia Heher and that he offered the troop's help for set up if needed; Mr. McCann made a motion to donate $100 to the fund and Mr. Viggiano did not think it would be a problem.

Mr. Misencik indicated that Ski Sundown was this weekend, and the next Ski trip will be February 27th to Mohawk.

Peter McCann discussed the Troop's 50th Anniversary celebration and after discussion the TENTATIVE plans are a catered banquet in the gym on September 18th.
